Catching Up

Sorry to anyone who may have actually visited recently. I have been a bad blogger. I have a great excuse though. I have been in the hospital since the 27th and have just gained access to a computer. I am going to be fine so nobody worry bout a thing. I just need to catch up on a few things that I missed.

  1. Barack Obama (my guy) won the Iowa caucus and it looks like he is going to win in New Hampshire as well. I am feeling all proud of myself since I made more than a few calls on his behalf over the last few months. Once SC is in the bag I plan to send Hillarty a photocopy of my ass.
  2. Ron Paul is a racist anti-semite. This doesn't really surprise me since the Libertarian party has a huge racist sefment that Ron has appealed to in a type of coded language in some of his speeches. He has spoken in support of secession, and is a neo-confederate that thinks both the Civil War and the Civil Rights Act were huge mistakes. Why do so many people back this guy? The possible answer makes me shudder.
  3. Hillary is a cry-baby. I actually found her show of emaotion quite charming but when she used it a s a spring board to launch into a negative attack on Barack, I was a little put off.
  4. The Daily Show is back. YAY!!

That's all I got for now. I promise to try and write more in the coming weeks. Happy New Year!

Sorry to read you were in the hospital. Plastic surgery for Christmas, huh? Glad you're back.

This is going to be a very interesting primary season ...

And here I was hoping you were off on some sort of exotic holiday vacation. Let me know if you need anything.

I agree on Ron Paul. He makes a lot of sense on some issues. But if you look at the rest of his positions, it's easy to see he's a total wack job.

I know a few normal, smart people that like him - but they pick and chose what they like. He's a total nutbag.

Look up "Ron Paul Meet the Press" on YouTube. Russert makes him quiver on more than one occasion.

I guess it's good to have a nut job pushing the envelope - kind of like a concept car at the auto show - no chance it'll see light of day, but fun to look at and might make the mainstream think a little differently on a couple of specific items.

Don't forget, they're usually aligned with (and drawing support from) the Democratic party.

Ron Paul scares me. The local yahoo bar (read: mullets and hate) supports him.

I'm with you on Obama.

Actually, I agree with Ron Paul on the matter of succession.

I personally feel that most of the turf south of the Mason-Dixon line is an armpit, an absolute cesspool. The function of the Old South is to prove that old-time religion not only does not improve people but actually makes them worse- the south leads the nation in fundamentalist religious beliefs and also leads in every social problem you can name, in that they have higher rates of violent crime, divorce, out-of-wedlock childbirth, and illiteracy than any other area in the country except, perhaps, for Detroit.

With the exception of Miami-Dade-Broward, you can take the entire area and put it in a dumpster.

Let's let Texas and the rest succeed from the union before we get too much further down the slope of oil and water depletion, for this area is also the capital of suburban sprawl and NASCAR worship, and is the biggest waster of natural resources, in the aggregate, in the world, matched only by the city of Dubai. Worse, these people are a very excitable and irrational population who are in possession of large stores of firearms, and we don't want to have to deal with them when it dawns on them that the Baby Jeebus isn't going to keep the gas tanks in their Silverados full and their 3-acre lawns watered just because they are God-fearin'real Amerikan folks with 11 kids to bring up.

So let's humor Ron Paul and let the people go.
